The prevalence of autism spectrum disorders has continued to increase. Fortunately, significant advances in research have been made in the past decade in understanding the underlying causes of autism. This progress has translated into new options for individuals with autism across the lifespan. This conference is intended to provide attendees with information about several cutting edge research projects that are currently being conducted at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. It will also inform practitioners about research-supported treatment options for children and adults with autism in Iowa.
