The Autism Society of Iowa is an affiliate of the Autism Society of America. The Iowa chapter was founded in 1978 and currently has over 300 members. We are a statewide non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
A gift of:
$5 pays for an advocate to receive a T-shirt at our annual Autism Advocacy and Acceptance Day at the Iowa State Capitol.
$20 provides a family of four the opportunity to attend a sensory-friendly movie.
$50 provides a scholarship for someone with Autism or a family member in need to attend our fall conference.
$150 pays for a Splash for Autism Pool Party at an Aquatic Center in Des Moines, allowing children/adults with Autism and their families or caregivers an opportunity to enjoy the pool without the noises, crowds, and without judgment.
$500 provides a college scholarship for a student with Autism to attend a post-graduate program after high school.
100% of your donation stays in Iowa, and 87 cents of every dollar you donate goes directly to programming for families, teachers, educators, law enforcement, and those on the Autism Spectrum.
