Autism Society of Iowa is proud to provide Family Scholarships to help ease some of the financial burden for individuals with Autism and their caretakers.
To be eligible for a Family Scholarship:
- You must reside in Iowa.
- You must apply for someone with Autism living in Iowa.
- Your family’s Federal/Net (not gross) income for the most recent year must be less than $60,000.00.
Allowable Scholarship Categories
Equipment:
- Sensory
- Technology
- Safety equipment to prevent wandering
Equipment must be used to support and improve the quality of life for the individual with Autism. For equipment, please include the order information, color, size, weight, etc., for consideration. If the scholarship is approved, receipt of the approved purchase will be needed for reimbursement.
Inclusive Activities:
- Classes
- Camps
- Employment Job Coaching
Please include where the inclusive activity will take place and the amount. If approved, the check will be sent to the agency providing the activity.
Parent Caregiver Education for Autism Education:
Please include who is providing the autism education class, and if approved, the check will be sent directly to the agency.
Therapy Co-Pays:
- Speech Language Pathology Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Applied Behavior Analysis
Please include who is providing the therapy, and if approved, the check will be sent directly to the agency.
