Presenter:
Dr. Marchini (DDS, MSD, PhD) is a Professor and the Chair of the Department of
Preventive and Community Dentistry at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. His research focuses on factors affecting geriatric oral diseases, conditions and dental treatments, patients’ satisfaction with dental care, and the best ways to teach dentistry. He has received 20 external grants, published seven textbooks, 20 book chapters, and 200+ peer-reviewed articles, resulting in 1,790 citations and a h-index of 25 (Scopus). He is an Editorial Board member for the Special Care in Dentistry Journal, Journal of Prosthodontics, and Brazilian Dental Science Journal, and the Immediate Past-President of the Special Care Dentistry Association (SCDA).
