Objectives:
EXPLORE post-high school options like employment, trades training, community college, and university enrollment. While enrolled, students develop an action plan based on their post-graduation interests. EXPLORE is a collaboration between Vocational Rehabilitation Services (IVRS) and the University of Iowa REACH Program.
Presenter:
Katie Abrams is the Transition Coordinator at UI REACH located in Iowa City, on the University of Iowa campus. She obtained her PhD in special education from Washington State University where she was the director of an Inclusive Post-Secondary Education (IPSE) program for individuals with Intellectual Disability. Katie’s passions include emerging technology in special education and transition services for students with disabilities.
